Booz Scooters Update | Shark Tank India Season 1
Booz Scooters is South Asia’s first app-based electric kick scooter rental service. Rutvij Dasadia founded the company to place scooters at business parks, commercial complexes, and industrial zones, where employees and visitors need short-distance transport between gates, blocks, and parking areas. Booz doesn’t manufacture scooters. It operates them, managing fleets and the app that enables access.

The Pitch
Rutvij asked for ₹40 lakhs at 15% equity, a ₹2.67 crore valuation. He pitched the micro-mobility gap inside large campuses and business parks where walking distances are long but personal vehicles are inconvenient. Booz would place and manage electric kick scooters, charging per ride through an app.
At the time of the pitch, revenue was around ₹4 lakhs. The business model was operational but at a small scale, with a few active locations.
What the Sharks Said
Ashneer Grover and Vineeta Singh found the concept workable but thought the valuation was way off for a company at that stage. They offered ₹40 lakhs for 50% equity, cutting the implied valuation from ₹2.67 crore to ₹80 lakhs. Rutvij countered at 33%, the sharks held at 50%, and he accepted.
The deal came on air but didn’t close after the show. Like several other Season 1 deals, it fell through during post-show discussions.
What Happened After
Despite the deal not closing, the Shark Tank appearance gave Booz visibility. Rutvij kept the business running and it grew steadily. By March 2024, annual revenue had reached ₹52.7 lakhs, up significantly from the early days.
Booz later partnered with EMotorad, an EV brand, which became its exclusive OEM partner supplying the ‘Lil E’ electric kick scooter. The company also launched a second-generation three-wheeled scooter designed for wider usability. In early 2025, Booz reported handling nearly 2,500 rides from a single location over two days, its highest single-location volume.
