Sid07 Designs is an invention-led product company started by Siddarth Gupta, a young entrepreneur from Jammu and Kashmir. The brand builds practical, patented gadgets that solve everyday problems. Their flagship product, the Drill Duster, attaches to a drill machine and clears debris as you drill, something no commercially available accessory did before. The Pitch

Siddarth came in asking ₹47 lakhs at 10% equity. Last year’s revenue was ₹14 lakhs, with the previous month bringing in around ₹1 lakh. The pitch centred on the Drill Duster and the idea that a young inventor from J&K had built something genuinely new without institutional support.

The valuation ask was ambitious for the revenue stage. Siddarth had three patents and eight more inventions in development, but the business was very early and the numbers were small.

What the Sharks Said

The sharks were divided. Some respected the inventiveness but pushed back on the valuation and the revenue base. Peyush Bansal made the only offer: ₹25 lakhs for 75% equity with ₹22 lakhs as a loan. He framed it as non-negotiable.

It was a heavy equity ask, effectively handing majority control to Peyush. Siddarth accepted. Other sharks stepped out, with some questioning whether the terms were fair to the founder.

What Happened After

With Peyush’s backing, the Drill Duster launched commercially and picked up both domestic and international inquiries. The product moved beyond India to customers who found it through online listings. Siddarth expanded the product line and continued working on new inventions under the Sid07 brand.

Revenue remained modest. Annual revenue as of March 2025 was reported at ₹6.82 lakhs. The business is small but active, and Siddarth has continued developing new gadgets.
